Mask / COVID-19 Policy

Current guidelines do not require masks at this time. However, to ensure the safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff, we strongly encourage all Museum visitors to wear masks while visiting the Mansion.  

As COVID-19 continues to evolve, we will update our procedures and policies, accordingly, following CDC and the State of CT guidelines as well as industry standards for best museum practices. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you stay home and visit the Museum at another time.

Guided Tours

60-min. Fashion Exhibit Tour (through Nov. 6)

Join us for a memorable 60-min. Guided Exhibit Tour. A Museum Docent will lead you through the Mansion’s majestic 1st-floor Period Rooms on an in-depth exploration of the new exhibition, Making It Last: Sustainable Fashion in Victorian America, generously sponsored in part by CT Humanities. The tour will also include the new contemporary art exhibition, Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color, featuring artists from throughout the tri-state area, and the award-winning Servants’ Quarters on the mezzanine floor. Please note that this tour does not visit the 2nd-floor bedroom suites, family room, or the new permanent doll exhibit, A Century of Dolls.

90-min. House Tour (through Nov. 6)

Join us for the extended 90-min. Guided House Tour of the Mansion. A Museum Docent will lead you on an exploration of the Mansion’s majestic 1st-floor Period Rooms, the 2nd-floor bedroom suites and family room, and the award-winning Servants’ Quarters on the mezzanine floor, which includes viewing of all new exhibitions (Making It Last: Sustainable Fashion in Victorian America, Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color, and A Century of Dolls).

Purchase Tickets

Tickets are available for purchase in advance at the link above. Walk-ins are welcome to purchase tickets at the door and subject to availability. Tour capacity is 15 people. We ask that you are ready 5 minutes prior to the start of your tour, as tours begin promptly at their designated times. Whether you’ve reserved a ticket ahead of time or are a walk-in, latecomers will not be guaranteed a spot on the tour. All sales are final. No Refunds.

$5 Mini Tours

Mini Tour Dates: June 5, June 11, June 18, June 19, Sept. 18

The Museum offers $5 Mini Tours on various days throughout the season in place of docent-led Guided Tours. Mini Tours allows visitors to drop in at any time during the hours of operation and explore the first floor of the Mansion at their leisure, with docents present in each Period Room to provide information and answer questions. The admission fee of $5 applies to all visitors, including LMMM members.

Private Events

Walkthroughs for weddings, parties, and other private events are offered by appointment only.

Group Tours

Groups of 8 or more are considered a Group Tour and require a minimum two-week reservation. Use the online form or call (203) 838-9799 ext. 6 to request a tour.  Group Tour Request

Museum Policies

  • No food or drink is allowed inside the Mansion’s period rooms.
  • Photography is permitted without flash.
  • Due to the limited width of some of the rooms and paths, strollers are not permitted inside the Museum and should be left in one’s vehicle. Large backpacks, as well as recreational wheeled devices such as wagons, bikes, skate shoes, etc. are prohibited.
