Our interns have been accepted at Yale, UConn, George Washington University. Every year we receive many requests for internships from our local high schools and colleges. The LMMM’s staff and volunteer educators provide educational guidance and training in museum administration to help our interns acquire important skills for the future. Help us continue to bring interns to LMMM and contribute to the productivity and future of our youth.

       3. LIBRARY GAS LIGHTS RESTORATION PROJECT

$4500

Help fund the conservation/restoration of a pair of three-arm bronze gas sconces, each with an elaborately cast back plate. Originally in the Library, these lights were installed by the Mathews family in 1876 and matched their gasolier. The restored finish will be brass with silver shade rings and silvered filigreed drop finials. They will be fitted with reproduction etched glass shades to match the 2010-conserved gasolier.
