2021 CT Open House Day June 12, 2021, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

On Saturday, June 12 is the 17th annual Connecticut Open House Day—a day dedicated to celebrating all the incredible attractions in Connecticut. 

During this one-day event, the Museum, along with more than 100+ organizations and attractions throughout the state, will open its doors and offer special $5 Mini-Tours of the first floor period rooms.

In addition to viewing the magnificent first floor period rooms and taking an exciting sneak peek at the newly acquired furniture collection, visitors will be able to explore the must-see exhibitions titled, Health, Healing & Addiction in 19th Century America, which explores the birth of modern medicine and its scientific breakthroughs, featuring rare artifacts, instruments, costumes and photographs drawn from those once owned by the Lockwood and Mathews families, as well as loans from major private collections and public institutions, and Socially Distant Art: Creativity in Lockdown, a juried contemporary art exhibition featuring works by artists from throughout the United States that highlight the pandemic experience filtered through the eye, mind, and creativity of the artist.
