The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum's formal Music Room, currently undergoing study for restoration, was designed by the New York firm Herter Brothers.

Sophisticated marquetry and elegant wall painting of musical motifs enhance the design of the room, which was used for private entertainment of family and guests.
