The Italian Renaissance Revival style Library was designed by New York designer Leon Marcotte. The significance of a library in a Victorian household reflected the sophistication and refinement of the family, and is evident in the elaborate detail of this room. The intricately carved mantel, door frames and bookcases are English and american walnut embellished with polished steel cabochon and strapwork ornaments.
